Victor de Koenigsberg was born in Russia, educated in Hidelberg, Germany, moved to Paris, France sometime in the 30′s and finally found his way to the USA.

He was inducted on January 13th 1943 at the Local board # 24, NY,NY. He served in the Air Corps (Sargent, June 1943) then as an Infantry G2 ( Army Intelligence). Became Staff Sargent or T/3, January 1945 in the 104th Regiment, 26th (Yankee) Division of General Patton’s Army.

He saw most of the action in the European Theatre of Operation.

He then volunteered to the 307th Counter Intelligence Corp, 7th Army APO 758 as a Special Agent, until May 23rd 1946.

He passed away on May 11th, 1973 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

This is a document my sister Pavi sent me. Her mother had written a letter to General Eisenhower, requesting information of our father, as well as asking him to have our father returned to the U.S. after serving three years in WWII
